Nothing has been confirmed by ABC yet (but hopefully they'll deny the rumors, and soon), but the Wall Street Journal has reported that ABC has invested in a spin-off of Grey's centering around Addison Montgomery and that Shonda Rhimes has written the two-hour pilot episode. This means, for one, that Addison/Kate Walsh would be leaving the show....one thing most people don't want. And plus, Grey's is only in its third season yet...no need for a spin-off until AFTER the show is over! And also, how could a two-hour pilot that hasn't been announced before today be written, shot, approved by the network, etc by May? It usually takes about 6 months to one year to start a new series. I'm very skeptical on this, and am hoping the rumor is false. We don't need "Addison's Anatomy." Grey's is just fine.
