Is a Musical Episode on the Horizon?
filed under: spoilers 2 talk backsFrom the New York Times:
As Grey’s Anatomy’s 3rd season begins to wind down, don’t expect the stories to unwind with it. Show creator Shonda Rhimes – in association with ABC and Stephen McPherson – have announced plans to produce a ‘special’ episode of the medical drama, airing in May, just before the two-hour finale.Seriously?! An episode featuring "music, dancing, and other crazy stuff?" Seriously?! What do you think about this?
This news comes just days after the network announced plans to give the series (which averaged an incredible 27 Million viewers this past week) a spin-off featuring fan-favorite character, Doctor Addison Montgomery.
Rhimes says the episode will feature the arrival of Taye Diggs as a crucial member of Addison and estranged husband Derek’s past. Diggs notes that he has signed on for at least 3 episodes of Grey’s, and will ‘indefinitely’ be on the as-of-yet untitled spin-off series.
The episode, Diggs says, will feature “Singing and dancing, and some other crazy stuff”. Will Seattle Grace go the way of “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” and “Scrubs” by producing a musical episode? “It wouldn’t be a surprise if I told you”, teased Rhimes. “But it is pretty great”.
More information will follow as it becomes available, but don’t expect much - Rhimes has deemed herself a ‘spoiler nazi’, and is quite content on keeping the shows secrets. “What’s the fun if nothing is a surprise? I like to see the fan reaction when they’re shocked … it’s the best part”.
Also signed-on for the special episode is Eliza Dushku (A “Buffy” alumni) who will reprise her role as Tru Davies, a morgue-worker with a talent for speaking to the dead.
Trust in Shonda. Remember that.

I'm sorry, but can you give me the source's link? I would like to know something more about Eliza Dushku and Tru.
