Will they work this out?Well, after Shonda and I completed our little off-the-record Private Practice powwow, she did the unthinkable: She gave me some actual, honest-to-goodness, steaming-hot scoop concerning Grey's embattled supercouple. "I want to be clear that Derek loves Meredith," she said as if to put the debate to rest once and for all. "Derek loves Meredith more than anything and I can't imagine Derek going anyplace else other than Meredith." And as if to butter me up even more, Shonda handed me the biggest gift a Grey's fan could ask for: a death certificate with Gizzie's name on it. "A lot of people aren't sold on Izzie and George," she acknowledged. "I think the mistake that everyone makes is that we are telling you Izzie and George are the love story of the century; they're not the love story of the century. And when other people find out about Izzie and George — remember, people don't know about them yet — other people might think that's not a good idea either."
Any scoop on Grey's?I caught up with James Pickens Jr. on the red carpet and he teased that there will be some drama surrounding the Chief's living situation (i.e., you won't believe who's moving in next door).

This is not a scoop, she told this all before. Remember her giving him the same speech about Gizzie two months ago at the news conference, word for word, remember him jumping to the same conclusion Gizzie was over using that same speech. Guy is really delusional if he thinks Shonda will give him such a big scoop. Everyone with any intelligence knows Derek loves Meredith, he told her, it is clear, no surprise there. That doesn't say they will be together. Loving each other has never been the problem with them, communication is. And Gizzie not being the love story of the century does not mean they are not in love or will be over. Sure, lots of people have a problem with it, but lots of people love them like your little poll about them being over proved when the majority of people said they did not want to them to be over.
Shonda will have a lot of angry people in her end if she just drops Gizzie and acts like they were never in love because, she did make many people buy they were in love.

I am sorry but aren,t you tired of publishing everything Aussiello is saying like it is made of gold. Considering the fact that he has eben wrong so many times since last season, I wouldn't put that much faith in what he says, especially since it is based on what he thinks about an interview with Shonda where she told him really nothing except generalities everyone knows and which she has said many times in the past. Nowhere did she hint MerDer were going to be happy, just that Derek loved her. Nowbhere did she say Gizzie was over, just that many characters on the show and fans had a problem with it and they were not written as the love story of the century, which none of the george and Izzie fans ever claimed they were. That does not mean their love is not real or that they are wrong for each othe rjust because some people think so.
I for once love george and Izzie more than anything on this show and hope they are given a chance.

Newsflash, Shonda, not everyone loves boring Meredith and Derek, I hate them and so do a lot of my friends, but we all love George and Izzie madly and passionately. So put an end to them and you will lose a couple of viewers in us, not that you care, but there is no way in hell I will watch if you end them.

Gizzie is Stupid... I Hated them from the Beginning I am Glads there Story Line is Dropping who Liked Them Anyway I hear Bleh in the Word Gizzie... MerDer rule and they are the Couple of the Century so Deal with it! Gizzie is OVER, gone, Down the Drain and I am so Happy... I Hope MerDer get back Together and they Probably will... MerDer Rules! Who loves Gizzie? How about me and the 222 fans on Fanforum's Grey anatomy Beautiful geek love (the George and Izzie fan thread) who are celebrating 50th threads of love for this couple. Or the 413 fans on the George O'Malley and Izzie Stevens community? Or the 18 000 or so people who voted they loved them on the ABC board? or the 722 people who have signed the eptition to save them so far? And my mom, my uncle, my brother, my dad, my hairdresser, my four ebst friends, my boyfriend, the person who sold me season 3 DV and who kept gushing how much she loved Gizzie. And all the people who made Gizzie fan videos on Youtube. I could go on and on. I know a lot of people who adore george and Izzie. I even met someone who started watching Grey after seeing T and Katie on an entertainment show and being enchanted by their friendship. She saw their love story, fell in love and is now watching.
So before asking stupid questions, check your facts. And I am sorry, maybe I am missing something, but nowhere did Shonda say that Gizzie was over, that is again Aussiello speculating on what he thinks Shonda's words means, just like he did when she told him the exact same thing 2 months ago. So either you guys and Aussiello are suffering from short-term memory loss or you really think Shonda's rehashed words on Gizzie and her earth-shattering statement Derek loves Meredith (really, who knew? I had no diea he loved her when eh told her he loved her in the finale)constitute spoilers? Then maybe you need to look up what spoilers mean.

I think everyone needs to calm down. I mean, I love Grey's but the world is not going to end if George chooses Izzie and if Derek and Meredith split. It'll be okay aha. If anything it could make the show better, and much more interesting. A changing plot is what makes most shows worth watching.

Wow, what maturity MerDer fans show. Are you stupid or what? She never said Gizzie was over, she said they were not the love story of the century and a lot of people did not like them, where in that does it say they are over? Not being the love story of the century does not mean they are not in love.
And if they are so over, why all the George and Izzie sceens in the new music video? They show them almost kissing two times and they have as much or more scenes than Meredith and Derek.
And Katie just did an interview and she said half the people loved Gizzie and half hated it, LOL, she seems to think the haters and lovers are in equal numbers. She said people always approached her about them in the street and absolutely noone was indifferent to them.
They might be over. I am not stupid enough to think there is a guarantee they will end up together, Shonda might be a coward and listen to all the haters but she might not drop them too.
I'd say it could go either way, but she hasn't said they were over or that MerDer reunited.

I adore both couples, but George and Izzie are special.
I think both Gizzie and MerDer have ton of fans and ton of haters. On voote.com, Gizzie and MerDer are one and two for worst couple, LOL, and they are very close in number of votes. Yet, Gizzie is winning hottest love affair on TV by a lot and MerDer is winning best couple at the exact same place.
I know a lot of people who hate MerDer and a lot of people who love Gizzie.
I think it is great that they get people so riled up because as Shonda said the opposite of love is not hate, but indifference, and no two other couple get that much love, hate and passion.

I love George and Izzie, I am totally in love with them and have eben since the flashback scene. They have out of this world chemistry and their love is so beautiful. Perfect? No, but it is real and deep and unbreakable.
So Shonda please know just how many of us do love this couple. They are the reason why I watch.

And you really think spoilerphobe Shonda would give such a big scoop before the premiere airs? None of what she said said Gizzie was going to be dropped. Well, to each their own. To me, George and Izzie are totally adorable and so beautiful together. I am totally enchanted with them.

Well, just to be different from eevryone else, I hope both couples are happy. I love both Derek and Meredith and George and Izzie, although George and Izzie hold a very special, place in my heart. They just get to me, that is all, but I do love Drek and Meredith too.
