Ratings: "Freedom"

0 talk backs

Well, our ratings went up an entire million people from last week, according to TVGuide. This is really, really good. That puts the ratings at 16.5 million. In relation, last season's finale, Didn't We Almost Have it All?, had 22 million viewers. So, yes, we were a few million down from last season, but we were way up ratings-wise in relation to Season 4, Part 2.
Now, the real question is: how many people will return in the fall? Will we see our ratings go up, stay the same, or decline? I'm hoping for one of the first two.

The ratings once again slipped down, practically tying those of the series-low ratings for episode 413 "Piece of My Heart." Hopefully, maybe, the ratings will go back up for the finale! Thanks to TVGuide.com.

CSI wrapped its year with an audience of 18.1 mil, while Grey's Anatomy (15.5 mil) matched a record low in demos for a Thursday original.

Ratings: "Piece of My Heart"

Here are the abysmal ratings for "Piece of My Heart." Apparently not even Kate Walsh could get viewers to return, as they mark a series low in ratings. Fortunately for us, the show is better than ever and still kicking everybody else's asses in the key demos! But, please, spread the word about how great the show is again and that they should watch it again! "Thanks" to TVGuide.com.

CSI trounced Grey's (albeit not in demos), 17.8 mil to 15.1 mil.

Here are the (I'm not gonna lie) somewhat disappointing ratings for "Where the Wild Things Are." Get that word of mouth going, people! You need to spread it around how great the show is again! Thanks to TVGuide.com.

Grey's Anatomy led the pack like a pro, but was down 20 percent from last year with 16 mil — one of its lowest numbers to date.

Here are the ratings for the final pre-strike episode of Grey's Anatomy, per Variety.

According to preliminary nationals from Nielsen, the battle of the final firstrun episodes produced prior to the writers strike went to ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" (17.6 million viewers overall) over CBS vet "CSI" (18.1 million viewers overall), although the Eye entry drew the most overall viewers; both shows were on the low end of their ratings range.

RATINGS: "Crash Into Me, Part Two"

0 talk backs

Here are the ratings for Crash Into Me, Part Two from ABC (on a side note, TVGuide.com says there was a gain of 27% in viewers, and I saw that the ratings were around 17.5-18 million).

ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" dominated the 9 o'clock hour and ranked as Thursday's No. 1 television program across each of the key adult demographics: Adults 18-34 (7.1/18), Adults 18-49 (7.1/17) and Adults 25-54 (7.6/17). In its time period, "Grey's" topped CBS' "C.S.I." by 31% in Adults 18-49 (7.1/17 vs. 5.4/13). It's the 10th consecutive original telecast that "Grey's Anatomy" has been Thursday's No. 1 TV show in the key young adult sales demographic.

Lip-on-Lip Action Coming Up!

2 talk backs

Take a deep breath....
(and try not to shoot the messenger)

Why did October Road premiere on Thanksgiving? It couldn't have done very well in the ratings—most of my friends had no idea it was back.
True dat. Even the brand-new Seth Green-graced episode of Grey's Anatomy hit a ratings low with barely 14 million total viewers.
I cannot stand Rose on Grey's Anatomy! Please tell me she will take her sicky paws off Patrick Dempsey.
Hey now! I'm not saying I like Rose and McDreamy together (jury's still out, if you ask me), but I have to tell you that Lauren Stamile, who plays Thorny, is quite a lovely person—inside and out—so let's not go crazy with the hate, 'kay? That said, you'll have plenty of reason to put a fist through your TV in the next couple of episodes if you are not a fan of the McThorny pairing, 'cause, well, there's a little lip-on-lip action on the way! Yep, you heard me. McDreamy is puckering up to Miss Prickly. Good thing or bad? Comment below!
The last episode of Grey's was fantastic! So many lives hanging in the balance. Any word on who'll survive?
I know nurse Rose "saves the day" when it comes to McDreamy's computer-gremlin-riddled surgery, so I'd bet good money on that patient surviving...and on the experience making Derek swoon.

RATINGS: "Crash Into Me, Part One"

Alright, so, neither ABC nor TVGuide had the easy-to-read ratings with the number of viewers in plain English, but, I want to bring you the ratings, so, here are the hard-to-read ratings from Zap2It. If anyone can decifer these (and let me know the numbers for both CSI: and Grey's Anatomy), just post the numbers in a comment below. Nevertheless, here are the ratings for Crash Into Me, Part One:

"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" had an 8.5/16 to give CBS the 9 p.m. hour over the 8.2/15 for ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" (ABC won the hour among adults 18-49).

We beat CSI! We beat CSI! Thanks to TVGuide.com.

With CSI (18.75 mil) plunging 1.25 mil from its last fresh outing, Grey's (18.76 mil) gained 800K and seems to have barely edged out the crime drama in total viewers this week (as well as the usual demos).

Here are the depressing ratings for the season premiere, from TVGuide.com.

With 24.9 million viewers, CSI outperformed its 2006 opener by some 13 percent and in doing so trumped Grey's Anatomy, which returned to an audience of 20.5 mil (down from last fall's 25.15 mil). Though Grey's fared better among the key demos, that is Grissom & Co.'s largest-ever margin of victory over the ABC titan.

Here are the ratings for last night's episode from TVGuide.com:

Despite being as heavy-handed as that backdoor Brady Bunch spin-off starring Ken Berry as the adoptive dad of a rainbow coalition of sons, the two-hour Grey's Anatomy averaged 20.97 million viewers, reclaiming its lead over CSI.

RATINGS: "Desire"

2 talk backs

Here are the ratings for Episode 321 Desire from TVGuide.com

The fast overnights have CSI eking past Grey's, 19.99 to 19.75 million viewers (though ABC, of course, rules the key demos).
However, we think TV Guide got it wrong. Many, many other sites (including ABCMediaNet) are reporting that Grey's beat CSI for the 16th time in a row. We'd like to believe ABC.
