Surprises Are Ahead...

0 talk backs

Here's all the scoop from Shonda Rhimes herself, thanks to those wonderful people over at TVGuide - this time, it's the magazine. The issue? It's currently on stands now. Grey's Anatomy returns April 24.

What's next "When we come, we'll have leapt ahead five or six weeks in time," creator Shonda Rhimes says. "It's our way of acknowledging the bump [caused by the strike]. But it'll be very clear from the first moment what has transpired. You'll see where things stand with Derek and Meredith and Rose. You'll see where George is living, and in the first episode all the residents will be involved in a high-stakes surgical contest - definitely something the chief would not condone."
Hookup central "Old relationships will become new again, some people you thought would never get together will, and there are going to be some interesting outside influences," Rhimes promises. George and Izzie have "put it to bed for the night. They've left it at the idea that it's not necessarily about the bad sex as [it is] the bad timing. What will be interesting to see is that after the intimate explosion of events [whether] they can just be friends." Pretty boy plastic surgeon Mark "McSteamy" Sloan will continue his pursuit of hard-to-impress Dr. Hahn. "The way that is going to play out will be surprising to everyone," Rhimes says. "Mark is not used to not getting what he wants."
The MerDer Chronicles "I am pretty dedicated to the idea that they are going to be together for good this season," Rhimes says. "What's going to be interesting is how she gets her act together, and how they decide this is it." Are those wedding bells we hear?! "I did not say there is going to be a wedding," Rhimes says. "Or a ring. Although I didn't say there wasn't going to be a ring."
Flamethrower Addison will pop up at Seattle Grace to perform surgeries that only she can do and "discover whether you can really ever go home," Rhimes says.
The date currently set for Addison's return? May 1, the second episode back from the hiatus.

Callie on Her Own

0 talk backs

Ausiello posted a bit of new stuff on Grey's today, and while it's more speculation from the actors than anything, we'll take it in a time where we've got nothing. Enjoy!

I've been in a slump ever since that last Grey's Anatomy episode. Could you make a girl's day a little brighter and give her a little poop? I chatted up Sara Ramirez at the SAGs and she hinted that Callie might not be in a rush to jump back into another steady relationship post-George. "I think it's an interesting concept, Callie being alone again. It's a universal issue that women deal with a lot. 'What do I do when I'm alone?' 'Is it OK to be alone and not have a man?' I think it's an interesting thing to explore. But, you know, it's Grey's Anatomy. And we love our hookups and one-night stands. I'm all for her finding love in all the wrong places all over again. Maybe there's more than one? She should play the field a little."
I loved the last original Grey's Anatomy episode — especially the Alex-Izzie moments. Have you heard any scoop about them getting together next season? I have not, but Justin Chambers had some very interesting things to say about that very subject at the SAG Awards. "I think Alex has a deep longing for her," he told me. "He's just not man enough to admit it. He's got a lot of issues to work out. Hopefully he'll get secure enough with them."

Mrs. O'Malley Returning!

0 talk backs

Here's the scoop from Ausiello at TVGuide.com...

You mentioned a while back that George's mom was returning to Grey's Anatomy. Did the strike push that back? That's what I'm hearing. According to my Seattle Grace mole, Mama O'Malley's return — originally slated for November sweeps — was delayed until Episode 11, aka the show's final pre-strike episode. That probably explains why George had little to do during the just-wrapped two-parter. Why'd they move her out of sweeps? Well, per my spy, when it became clear that eppy 11 might be the final hour of Grey's we get in a long time, the script underwent "massive rewrites" to ramp up the drama and add several cliff-hangers — one of which involves George's old lady. "They're pretty big bombshells," says the source. "Basically, everyone's futures are left up in the air." Well, not everyone's. As I reported in this week's Ausiello Report vodcast, by the end of the episode there will be little doubt which direction the Mer/Derek/Rose triangle is headed in. [Basically, Derek will dump Meredith's "whiny ass" for Rose.]
Earlier this season, you teased that someone's getting divorced on Grey's Anatomy, and it's not who we'd expect. After reading your Bailey/narration spoiler, it has me thinking that it's her. I can neither confirm nor deny that Bailey will be getting a divorce this season on Grey's Anatomy.

Major Twists Coming Up

3 talk backs

Here's all the latest scoop from Michael Ausiello at TVGuide.com:

Will Alex and Addison "happen" before she leaves?
(Major spoiler alert) Remember how I told you that Grey's decided to put the brakes on Addisex due to Kate Walsh's impending spin-off-fueled exit from the show? Well, it appears either Shonda Rhimes had a change of heart or I was given some lousy intel, because the two of them are definitely doing the horizontal tango before she leaves for Los Angeles. In fact, I hear it's their little affair that ultimately leads her to flee Seattle. Also not helping matters: McSteamy's "failure" to stick to his 60-day vow of chastity. Why'd I put failure in quotes, you ask? 'Cause there's a twist (and a surprising one at that)!
Just saw your latest vodcast. Please tell me it is not Derek who slaps Meredith in the face.
And ruin all the suspense?! Pshaw. I can tell you that Derek and Meredith aren't exactly on solid footing by the end of the May 3 episode.
I just had two wisdom teeth pulled, so please pity me and give me some Grey's Anatomy scoop!
Addison won't be the only Seattle Grace doc who is considering a change of scenery in the coming weeks. My Grey's mole reports that all the drama surrounding Gizzie-gate will prompt George to consider transferring to another hospital.

Someone Doesn't Need the Pill

4 talk backs

Here's the newest Grey's scoop from Ausiello at TVGuide.com:

Please, please, please tell me that Izzie is on the pill.
Do I look like her personal pharmacist to you? Do I?! But while we're on the subject of contraceptives, before the season is over, one character will discover that she has no need for 'em — and hasn't for some time. (Any self-respecting member of AA should know exactly who I'm referring to.)
As one of the few supporters of Team Gizzie on Grey's Anatomy, is there any hope? I'm sick of Callie!
Yes, it appears there's a glimmer of hope. Sigh….
I know you hate the Izzie-George hookup, but you have to admit, that scene between them in the closet was perfection.
Yeah, that much I'll give ya.
Please stop referring to the Grey's Anatomy spin-off as "the enhanced two-hour Grey's Anatomy episode with a potential for afterlife." It wasn't even funny the first time, so just imagine how amusing it is now.
Can I just do it one more time? Pleeease?!?!

Nothing much exciting this week...that's all! But...who is the one who is in no need of the pill?

MerDer Love, A Wedding, and Spin-Off...

0 talk backs

Here's the newest Kristin scoop, straight from E! Online:

Is the Torres family involved in the Grey's spin off? Hector Elizondo is playing Callie's dad on Grey's, and he was announced as part of the Grey's 2.0 cast.
According to my sources, this got muddled up in the media. Yes, Hector does play Callie's dad, and yes, he is in the spinoff setup episode, but no, Hector is not involved in the spinoff itself, as had been reported in many outlets. So, Mr. O'Malley and Addison are not running away together. And as I reported in this week's Vine show, she'll have her eye on the sexed up receptionist, Sean Faris from Life as We Know It. (Also known as Tom Cruise's dreamy doppleganger.)
Was there a "moment" there between Mer and Mark in the scrub room on Grey's?! Please say it ain't so.
As far as I know, it ain't so! I'm told Meredith and Derek will be going strong for a good, long while. The death of someone very close to Meredith brings MerDer closer together—and tears her apart (again) from her father.
Are George and Izzie really in love?
They're 100 percent smitten, from what I hear. And, yes, that is a two-way street. There are also rumblings that Sara Ramirez (Callie) might not be coming back as a series regular next season—but I think Izzie started those.
I saw your latest Vine show, and I'm so happy Cristina and Burke are headed for the altar! Is she really going to wear a poofy dress?
Yep. Despite her insistence on city hall, I'm told they'll have a full-on traditional wedding with the big dress and bridesmaids and everything—at the insistence of both her mother and Burke's mother.

And Here's How Addison will Decide to Leave Seattle...

0 talk backs

Here's the newest scoop on Grey's Anatomy from Michael Ausiello at TVGuide.com:

Izzie and George — noooooooooooooooooo!
My thoughts exactly. BTW, don't forget to check out my urgent news bulletin regarding tomorrow night's Grey's. Your life depends on it.
My birthday was last Friday, just like your BFF Lauren Graham! That should be worth some serious Grey's scoop.
Lucky for you, I just received a fresh batch of intel regarding the enhanced two-hour May-sweeps episode of Grey's Anatomy with a potential for afterlife (aka the spin-off). According to multiple unnamed spies who (lucky for us) can't keep their traps shut, Addison comes to the conclusion that (Spoiler alert) McSteamy is about a decade away from becoming father material, and hightails it to Los Angeles to meet with one of the world's foremost fertility experts. Mrs. Egg Harvester is also one of Addison's BFFs and the owner of a state-of-the-art wellness center, which just so happens to be looking for a neonatal specialist. I think you can figure out the rest.
OK, totally hated the George-Izzie hookup on Grey's last week. That was the last thing I thought was true from your list of twists. I had money on Burke's transfer!
Funny thing is, one of the "false" plots twists nearly turned out to be true — and it still might! I got a questionable tip about two weeks ago that (Potential spoiler alert) Callie was pregnant, and Grey's was planning to set up a whole "Who's the daddy?" story with George and McSteamy. But now it looks like that was another Shonda Rhimes-tested and -approved foiler.
So George and Izzie actually happened on Grey's Anatomy. I guess you gave us fair warning. Now can you please assure us that it was a one-time drunken mistake and it won't be happening again?
I really wish I could. But I can't.
I heard on the radio that Lisa Kudrow may also join the Grey's spin-off. Have you heard anything about this?
Not true. Lisa was up for one of the primary roles — Amy Brenneman's part, perhaps? — but apparently a return to TV prompted this reaction from her: "I don't want to see that!" (Never gets old.)

Gizzie...in...Love?

2 talk backs

Here's the huge scoop from Kristin at E! Online. Hope you're sitting down for this.
George and Izzie?! WTF? I'm in shock!! Please tell me that was a one-time thing.
I have the surprising (at least, I think!) answer for you in the spoiler section. Keep reading!
I have a friend in L.A. who said Lisa Kudrow is gonna be on Grey’s Anatomy. Is it true?
Actually, no. But according to my sources, your friend’s intel was half-right. Apparently, Kudrow was offered a guest role recently, but she ultimately decided to turn it down.
I am so confused! The ABC Website says a new Grey's Anatomy episode airs this Thursday (Mar. 22), but every other source says the new episode isn't until next week!
The ABC Website is correct, and there is indeed a new episode this week. And after the way things ended last week, let me tell you, this one is a can't-miss!

Please tell me this George and Izzie hookup on Grey's Anatomy is short-lived?!
I've actually heard—I hope you're sitting down for this—that they...

Fall.

In.

Love.

Ahhhh! Gizzie!!! My eyes! My eyes! What do you guys think of this? Please tell me in the comments section below. I'm still reeling.

Give me something good on Grey's?!
Someone close to Meredith is going to die. A family member. And it'll wreak havoc on Meredith's relationship with her dad.

Plot Twist Being Revealed in 'S&S'...

0 talk backs

Monday brings all-new Michael Ausiello scoop on Grey's Anatomy from TVGuide.com, so be sure to check it out below:

I was hoping that Izzie and George hooking up would be one of the false plot twists in your Grey's Anatomy tease last month (Ask Ausiello 2/21). But I just saw the preview for tomorrow's episode and I'm freaking out. Please tell me it's some kind of mistake.
Let me just say this: After tomorrow's Grey's airs, you'll know which one of the six plot twists is real. Here they are again in case you're too lazy to click on the link above.

• After breaking things off with Cristina, Burke will transfer to another hospital.
• Callie will reveal she's pregnant.
• Izzie and George will hook up.
• Izzie will be reunited with her daughter, and it's someone we've already seen on the show.
• Addison will be diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.
• Derek and Meredith's relationship will hit a roadblock when one of her exes shows up on her doorstep with one thing on his mind.

So why did Grey's Anatomy put the kibosh on the Addison and Alex romance?

I hear the brakes were put on Addisex the moment it was decided that Justin Chambers wouldn't be following Kate Walsh over to Grey's 2.0. The thinking being: no sense in getting viewers even more invested in Addisex if only one of 'em is returning to Seattle Grace next season.

So, any scoop on which females (other than Kate Walsh, of course) will be featured on Grey's 2.0? We've already got several hunky males signed up.
Sounds like someone forgot to check in on the Ausiello Report this week.

I am devastated that Shonda Rhimes has put Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s journalist show on the back burner. Can you confirm if this is set for the summer or if it has been canceled altogether?

ABC insists it's still in play, but word on the street is it's as good as dead. And that's especially true if Grey's 2.0 gets off the ground — which, let's face it, it will.

Monday brings New Kristin Scoop!

2 talk backs

Here's the latest on Grey's from Kristin at E! Online:

Any Grey's scoop? Please! Are Cristina and Burke actually gonna do it?
Ummm...yes, I'm pretty sure they have already played dirty doctor and naughty nurse, if you catch my drift. But if you're talking about taking the plunge and becoming man and wife, well, it doesn't look likely! Sources tell me that Cristina will soon realize that the only reason she said yes was for him. And by the time the intern-on-intern action goes down, I'm told the Cristina and Burke may be on the outs.

I saw your latest Vine show, and I'm aghast. Gizzie? It is happening?
Did my facial expression not give it away? Don't make me spell it out for you. Don't make Shonda Rhimes come and kick my ass.

Check out the promo for Thursday's all-new episode of Grey's Anatomy here and prepare to be - well - GROSSED OUT! According to the promo (which, God help us all, please let it be misleading), Izzie and George will be hooking up next Thursday. Will this be a repeat of Merge last season? Or will Gizzie actually be a happy couple? Honestly, I'm interested, but still...Izzie and George?!

TR Staying on Grey's

0 talk backs

Apparently there was a rumor going around (one of which I was not aware) that TR Knight was going to leave Grey's Anatomy due to the whole Isaiah Incident. But, also Kristin from E! Online reports, this is not true (Thank God):

T.R. Knight is not leaving Grey's Anatomy.

I repeat, T.R. Knight is not leaving Grey's Anatomy.

And for what it's worth, I really did try to set this story straight as soon as I saw it pop up in our message boards Friday, when a poster who claims to know someone who knows someone who works for the Grey's catering department ('cause the guy scooping out grits always has the most accurate scoop, right?) claimed that T.R. was so upset by how ABC handled the Isaiah-gate scandal he was quitting the hit show.

As I posted in the boards on Friday, this rumor is not true. I have spoken with reliable sources connected to the show, as well as T.R.'s personal publicist and the show's ABC rep, and can tell you that T.R. is staying on the show. In fact, the ABC rep "irrefutably denies" the rumor. (And trust me, this kind of strong language would not be used if there were even rumblings of T.R. leaving.)

You Grey's fans feel better now? Hope so.

I certainly do! (Even though I never even heard of this rumor to begin with...but still...) And Kristin says she'll be having a chat tonight with exciting scoop on Grey's Anatomy, so stay tuned, as we'll be sure to report it to ya!
