MerDer, Alex, and Addison...

0 talk backs

Here's a ton of scoop from our best scoop gal, Kristin at E! Online.

I need Grey's Anatomy news, especially MerDer scoop! Well, you're in luck. Shonda Rhimes was the guest of honor of the Red Tie benefit for the Red Cross of Santa Monica (a relationship that started with that ferryboat-crash episode last season), and chatted about, yes, the future of Meredith and Derek. She said what I know many fans will be happy to hear: "It's time for [Meredith] to get over her issues." Rhimes continued: "She and Derek should either be over by the end of the season, or she should make it on her own. I felt like, you know, what I want to see is what happens after the happily ever after."
Any scoop about my Grey's fave: Alex Karev? Shonda said, "It's good, but I can't say anything." Poopie! Chyler Leigh, bless her possibly now-unemployed (just kidding) heart, said she doesn't think the Alex-Lexie door is closed: "It was left pretty open-ended there, so I'd guess it's going to continue for a bit. I'm very looking forward to it and to getting back to work."
What's up for Addison's return to Grey's? Any McSteamy love? According to Shonda, "I don't know if I'd call it the final visit, but she is coming back for a visit." And don't expect any McDreamy-McSteamy resolution either. "I think she has more important things to resolve than men. She's got the job that the chief left open for her and a couple of other things." Kate Walsh said the script hasn't been written yet and that she'll start shooting at the end of March.

Callie on Her Own

0 talk backs

Ausiello posted a bit of new stuff on Grey's today, and while it's more speculation from the actors than anything, we'll take it in a time where we've got nothing. Enjoy!

I've been in a slump ever since that last Grey's Anatomy episode. Could you make a girl's day a little brighter and give her a little poop? I chatted up Sara Ramirez at the SAGs and she hinted that Callie might not be in a rush to jump back into another steady relationship post-George. "I think it's an interesting concept, Callie being alone again. It's a universal issue that women deal with a lot. 'What do I do when I'm alone?' 'Is it OK to be alone and not have a man?' I think it's an interesting thing to explore. But, you know, it's Grey's Anatomy. And we love our hookups and one-night stands. I'm all for her finding love in all the wrong places all over again. Maybe there's more than one? She should play the field a little."
I loved the last original Grey's Anatomy episode — especially the Alex-Izzie moments. Have you heard any scoop about them getting together next season? I have not, but Justin Chambers had some very interesting things to say about that very subject at the SAG Awards. "I think Alex has a deep longing for her," he told me. "He's just not man enough to admit it. He's got a lot of issues to work out. Hopefully he'll get secure enough with them."

More Symmetry?

0 talk backs

Here's the scoop from Kristin:

Wasn't Grey's supposed to be a new ep last week? What happened? It's called rationing, my dear. The TV drought, it's a-comin'! There are only two episodes left of Grey's, and ABC decided to air the last one in '08, so we got a rerun last week. This week is called "Crash into Me," and we get to see what happens to all the characters whose lives were left hanging in the balance. As I mentioned, there's a kiss coming, thanks to Nurse Rose saving the day. And as for Seth Green's character and Lexie, well, let's just say the whole thing smacks of Meredith and bomb-squad guy (aka Coach Taylor)…not to mention Denny and Izzie, and there are so rarely happy endings on this show!

I want Alex with Lexie! Any hope? Really? I thought you were all pulling for Alex and Ava? She's sticking around, at least for a while. But then again, Lexie (Chyler Leigh) is a series regular…and pretty adorable, no? Who do you want Alex to be with? Comment below!

Looks Like Alexie is ON!

1 talk backs

Here's the scoop from Michael Ausiello at TVGuide.com.

Do you have any good Grey's Anatomy news for Mer/Der fans?
It appears they've dodged one bullet: I hear Lexie and Derek are not happening — at least not initially. Word around Seattle Grace is that Lexie is being paired with Alex. That should certainly make things interesting when Jane Doe/Ava/Rebecca reappears (possibly) around Episode 4 "The Heart of the Matter."

Ava Returns to Grey's! Plus: Gizzie is Over as of, like, NOW

8 talk backs

After a summer of uncertainty and rumors that Elizabeth Reaser (aka Jane Doe; aka Ava; aka Rebecca; aka Alex's should-be lover) would not be returning to Grey's Anatomy next season, TVGuide's Michael Ausiello has found this to be false.

Please give us some good Grey's Anatomy news for a change.
Ask and you shall receive: Sources confirm that newly minted Emmy nominee Elizabeth Reaser is returning to Grey's this fall as Alex's erstwhile Jane Doe. An exact episode count is still being worked out, but my spy tells me it's "definitely more than one." Best. News. Ever.
Now that you're back from TCA, what is your opinion about the future of George and Izzie on Grey's Anatomy?
Based on those scathing focus groups and Shonda Rhimes' less-than-enthusiastic comments at press tour, it's safe to say that the nightmare is over. In fact, I'm hearing Rhimes may stick a fork in Gizzie in the season premiere when (Spoiler alert) the ex-platonic pals are forced to examine their relationship while tending to an, um, unusual patient: a deer. That's right, an injured deer will be admitted to Seattle Grace. What will Shonda think of next?!
I've got to agree with Michael there. Best. News. Ever. Yah for Elizabeth's return!

Major Twists Coming Up

3 talk backs

Here's all the latest scoop from Michael Ausiello at TVGuide.com:

Will Alex and Addison "happen" before she leaves?
(Major spoiler alert) Remember how I told you that Grey's decided to put the brakes on Addisex due to Kate Walsh's impending spin-off-fueled exit from the show? Well, it appears either Shonda Rhimes had a change of heart or I was given some lousy intel, because the two of them are definitely doing the horizontal tango before she leaves for Los Angeles. In fact, I hear it's their little affair that ultimately leads her to flee Seattle. Also not helping matters: McSteamy's "failure" to stick to his 60-day vow of chastity. Why'd I put failure in quotes, you ask? 'Cause there's a twist (and a surprising one at that)!
Just saw your latest vodcast. Please tell me it is not Derek who slaps Meredith in the face.
And ruin all the suspense?! Pshaw. I can tell you that Derek and Meredith aren't exactly on solid footing by the end of the May 3 episode.
I just had two wisdom teeth pulled, so please pity me and give me some Grey's Anatomy scoop!
Addison won't be the only Seattle Grace doc who is considering a change of scenery in the coming weeks. My Grey's mole reports that all the drama surrounding Gizzie-gate will prompt George to consider transferring to another hospital.

Plot Twist Being Revealed in 'S&S'...

0 talk backs

Monday brings all-new Michael Ausiello scoop on Grey's Anatomy from TVGuide.com, so be sure to check it out below:

I was hoping that Izzie and George hooking up would be one of the false plot twists in your Grey's Anatomy tease last month (Ask Ausiello 2/21). But I just saw the preview for tomorrow's episode and I'm freaking out. Please tell me it's some kind of mistake.
Let me just say this: After tomorrow's Grey's airs, you'll know which one of the six plot twists is real. Here they are again in case you're too lazy to click on the link above.

• After breaking things off with Cristina, Burke will transfer to another hospital.
• Callie will reveal she's pregnant.
• Izzie and George will hook up.
• Izzie will be reunited with her daughter, and it's someone we've already seen on the show.
• Addison will be diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.
• Derek and Meredith's relationship will hit a roadblock when one of her exes shows up on her doorstep with one thing on his mind.

So why did Grey's Anatomy put the kibosh on the Addison and Alex romance?

I hear the brakes were put on Addisex the moment it was decided that Justin Chambers wouldn't be following Kate Walsh over to Grey's 2.0. The thinking being: no sense in getting viewers even more invested in Addisex if only one of 'em is returning to Seattle Grace next season.

So, any scoop on which females (other than Kate Walsh, of course) will be featured on Grey's 2.0? We've already got several hunky males signed up.
Sounds like someone forgot to check in on the Ausiello Report this week.

I am devastated that Shonda Rhimes has put Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s journalist show on the back burner. Can you confirm if this is set for the summer or if it has been canceled altogether?

ABC insists it's still in play, but word on the street is it's as good as dead. And that's especially true if Grey's 2.0 gets off the ground — which, let's face it, it will.
